It’s National Fire Prevention Week and to help keep people in Detroit safe, the local law firm of Fabian, Sklar, King and Liss is partnering with the Detroit Fire Department to give away 500 free smoke detectors. The potential life-saving equipment is state of the art and has a 10-year battery.
Attorney Stuart Sklar and DFD Capt. Chris Dixon stopped by the Fox2 News studios Saturday morning to discuss the initiative and tell people how they can get a free detector.
