For more than a decade, our Michigan Insurance Claim Attorneys have proudly sponsored children between the ages of 7 and 17 to attend the Great Lakes Burn Camp,—a weeklong, confidence-building experience for young burn survivors. With activities like hiking, swimming and scuba diving, it is a place where kids can just be kids, supported by expert care and a strong sense of community.

As nationally recognized fire and explosion attorneys, our Michigan Insurance Claim Attorneys understand the devastating consequences of fire-related tragedies. Since 2010, our firm has partnered with the Detroit Fire Department to donate more than 2,500 smoke alarms to residents in need.
Each October during Fire Prevention Week, we contribute hundreds of alarms — 500 annually — to help prevent loss of life and improve home fire safety across Detroit.

Our attorneys have been deeply involved with the Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ), the state’s premier plaintiff-side advocacy organization. Founding partner Stuart Sklar served as MAJ President, and Stuart Sklar, Jason Liss, Aaron Herskovic and Elizabeth King have served on the Executive Board.
Jason Liss is a former President of the Michigan Bar Insurance & Indemnity Section and currently services as a Hearing Panelist for the Attorney Grievance Commission. Our team contributes legal insight, legislative input, and dozens of amicus briefs in high-stakes appellate matters affecting Michigan policyholders and injury victims statewide, contributing to a more favorable climate for Michigan policyholders.
We’ve also established a strong appellate practice—litigating precedent-setting issues in the Michigan Court of Appeals, Michigan Supreme Court, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. These appellate victories don’t just help our clients—they help establish fairer legal standards for everyone facing a property loss or insurance dispute.
